Mt. Fuji and cultural world heritage

So, about a week about, the organization of world heritage decided to add Mt. Fuji as a world cultural heritage.

I always thought their mission was to protect world’s great history and nature, but I’m not sure about that after watching a documentary about the registration of Mt. Fuji or 富士山ふじさん.

As the biggest mountain in Japanese, Mt. Fuji has been a big part of Japanese history. People still admire it and there are so many drawings of it through out japan.
You can also see how the Japanese worship Mt.Fuji just by seeing how many places there are named FUJIMI or富士見(ふじみ), which means a place for spectating Mt. Fuji.
When I was in high school, some of my teachers would sometimes talk about how they saw Mt.Fuji from our school or something.
It is important for their culture. I know. But why world heritage? Cleanliness of Mt. Fuji has been decreasing so badly just because so many people climb it. People jet-ski in the lakes near the mountain. People drive there.
So I always thought that when it’s registered as a world heritage, people would have plans to keep the mountain clean because I thought that being recognized as a world heritage is to succeed our great ancestors treasure and keep it as it is.

what happened to Mt. Fuji?? The government didn’t even talk to the stores and restaurants there. so what happened was that those store owners expect more people to come and try to make more money out of it. That’s not a bad thing as it is but they do not cooperate with making Mt. Fuji clean and everything. They wanna have more jet-ski vehicles, for example. That’s just silly to me because everyone in japan knows that Mt.Fuji has gotten dirty because of all the tourists and I would imagine that the government and the store owners would have agreed to make them cleaner since they applied for a world heritage.

I don’t know… The money game that Japanese government or companies play is always clever and cunning. I’m sure money had a lot to do with the registration too.

This whole thing is totally an example that japan is pretty much a socialism country. Only the government knows and implements its actions. Normal people? they do not exist or they’re considered as idiots who are not able to be responsible for the government’s great decisions. That’s how things work here. If you’re normal, government will take care of you like a baby as long as you listen to them and do things that others do.
Ok, I went too far. Let me come back to Mt. Fuji.
So after figuring out all this, I do not want to climb the mountain anymore. At least until they have plans to make it clean.
I really hope the great nature that Japan has will stay the same.

global warming

Hey, what’s up guys!

I was gonna make a post about the rainy season in Japan the other day and I didn’t! I was gonna say “first mosquito bite this year!” and that was a few days ago. Now I just found my 4th one… This is a great start…
Anyways, Tokyo has been officially in rainy season for 4 or 5 days which was earlier than the average year like always. oh btw rainy season in Japanese is 梅雨(つゆ)and soba/udon/ramen soup is つゆ. they are pronounced differently. Here are the links of the pronunciation of  these 2 words. Let’s see if you can distinguish the difference.

ok let me get back to what i was saying. We are going to have a hot summer again this year. longer and hotter summer/winter. shorter spring/fall. It is very easy to feel the effect of global warming or global climate change living in a country with 4 seasons. I remember when I was young, the water would froze up and wouldn’t run immediately after turning it on. I remember 30℃ was the hottest temperature whereas 35℃ is like the hottest now. I don’t know if winter is getting warmer or colder but summer is definitely getting hotter.

Anyways what am I talking about… oh right. I wanted to say that WHY DID THE MOSQUITO BITE THE SOLE OF MY FOOT! It freaking itches every time I walk!

Oh my god. I keep getting distracted. I wanted to write a diary.

So today I went shopping at LaLa Port in Yokohama with my dad to pick up some presents for my sister’s birthday. I got a funny key chain of a cat which I forgot to take a picture of( boooooooo). we also bought ice cream cake from baskin robins and guess what. It was my dad who wanted to get it. I see he liked someone’s birthday cake last year hehe. It was kind of embarrassing to look for presents for my sister because my dad and I were going to all the girly stores on a week day which means there are like no guys.

I definitely wanna go back there and get some stuff (along with krispy cream donuts hehe….)

I miss last summer. OH GOD OH GOD. THERE IS A MOSQUITO IN MY ROOM!
THERE IS NOTHING WORSE THAN THE BUZZING SOUND OF A MOSQUITO IN THE EAR! OMG GOTTA KILL IT

OK I’M GONNA GO BYE
